end of the ski season!

I am planning atrip to Bansko for early April and want to know when the season closes for this year.

I visited mid December last year and was really upset because the lifts were not even running a basic service as the season had not officially opened, apparently there was plent of snow.

I just want to be sure that I can get some skiing in this time.

Slim chance I'm afraid brad.

Season ends mid March and whilst there has been known for people still to be skiing well into April, this is not the norm and none of the tour companies that I know run trips this late.

Hi Brad,

No One can predict this season, but last year we skiied most of April

A seasons lift pass is dated to 30/04/06 but if there is no snow they will close the lifts early

I agree that the tour operators stop coming mid march but that just makes the slopes lovely and quiet for us

My friend was in Bansko in April last year and said it was great - but every year is different - maybe hold off until the week before or a few days before, before you book it

putting the weather conditions aside, does anyone know when the lifts actually stop working.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the lifts ect and the snow canons extend the season well into April, or is this just marketing hype.
