Hi
We are going to Bansko on 20th March Staying in Hotel Strazhite, can anyone tell me if it is better to take Lev's with us, or is the rate of exchange better in the hotel? Also any comments on his hotel, and any recommendations what to do. We have 12 in our group from ages 9 to 40!! Also have a 15th birthday whilst there.
Take a few Lev with you for the journey as there is a mid-way stop during the transfer where you can buy food and drink. After that change sterling notes at the hotel. We stayed at the Pirin and got 2.70 with no commission so I would have thought Strazhite would be similar.
Lots of places to eat. Golden Fox and the Steakhouse do more western food ie pizzas, steaks etc. If you want something more traditional there are numerous mechanas in the town. Kafe Parfe bar is a good choice for cheap ...

Kafe Parfe bar is a good choice for cheap local booze in a nice setting. The Lions Bar is a popular choice if you want Sky Sports and is opposite your hotel but it is more pricey than the ordinary local haunts.
We loved Bansko. If you have any further questions let me know and I will try and answer.
Well you would get a crap rate at Heathrow Billy! Cheryl you can get a good rate on the high street here if you shop around I suggest M&S or barclays anything over the 2.65 Lev to the pound will be good. Or Take sterling clean notes only not torn or tatty or Scottish and change it in Bansko but the difference between 2.75 and 2.65 is pennies so not worth worrying about. Just a not to anyone else who maybe thinking of being a silly billy and changing at the airport DONT they always offer a ...

Nice to hear someone else is going in a big group to Strazhite next week. We are a party of 16 ages ranging from 10-69! Also have a 15th birthday during the week on the Thursday, hope we will be able to arrange something nice for Abigail on that day. Flying out from Manchester to Sophia might see you there.
I am here in borovitz now and bring sterling. The hotels seem to offer the less competitive rates but if you ask the brits who are already around they should be able to put you in touch with 2.75 levs to the pound always ask first what the rates are and make sure they write it down and do not leave until you count the money. have a good one
