exchanging money

wondered if anyone knows if its best to exchange money here in england or over in boro? (i think the rate is about £1 to 2.1005lev in england)
going out to boro on the 26th, cant wait. the snow looks great
also any recommendations on places to at and drink? cheers

You are better off taking sterling and changing in boro. Rate was always above 2.2 when we were ther.

Luke...Just returned from Boro. Took a little bit of Lev's with me and English money. The rate in the resort flucuated during the week between 2.14 to 2.18 Lev's to GBP, but still better than the UK. The rate was low at the weekend, don't know if it was because of new arrivals

Id recommend the green king for food, just up the street from the gondola on the left-very friendly and traditional. (The owner remember me 6 months later when I visited in the summer when I was last there)

Definitely exchange in resort and dont use exchange booth in arrivals before going through passport control.

best thing is to take ur card they will charge u about 1.80 for 100 pounds. in borvoets if u get 2.14 there charging u circa 5

If you do need to change money before heading away, a good site to check is www.moneysavingexpert.com they have a comparison tool that shops around to find the best rates.

This post won;t help you now as you came out here on the 26th, however for anyone else reading, it is ALWAYS best to change out here, not in the UK - you will always get a better rate....
