fao snowplough

Hi hope you can help, I know you have just come back from Banff I'm going out on wednesday, can you tell me how people are dealing with going into town for the bus to sunshine? are they walking in, in ski boots or normal footwear and taking lockers at the resort? If lockers were there enough ? thanks hope you enjoyed your trip there

Hi Skingemu.

Lot of the people are carrying their ski boots to the bus pick-up, there is no problem leaving your boots in the big restruant/cafe, there are lockers there hundreds but people leave them in the ski bags/ruck sacks on top of lockers, under stairs, outside on veranda etc. We had no problem. Same for Lake Louise it's dump bags anywhere.
Hope your stayng close to town centre, check out the Elk & Oarsman restrant/pub, ribs to die for.

Ceers Jan,

We stayed at the Ptarmigan Inn. So only 2 blocks away from down town. Flipping cold though, - 30 degrees on some days.

Have a great time, looking at possibly heading for Panorama again next year with my daughter & son in law, wife doesn't understand us so it's warm hols for her from now on.
