hi pete,is the offical start to the season in pamps the 17th dec every year, as ive noticed balkan's first flight for the next season aren't till 23rd dec?????????

hi powellwas out there this year for christmas and our ski instructor said that was the first week of the season 24th dec although iam sure pete will be able to tell you for definate

The season opens pretty much when the snow falls Powell and you are taking quite a risk if you decide to go on 17th Dec. but yes, to answer your question, that is usually the week when it kicks off.
Some years it has been fine then, but personally I would never go before Xmas as in previous years many have been disappointed by the lack of snow.

cheers guys,and yes pete we are going to bulgaria on 16th dec for 17 nights to see family....and you never know it might snow!!!!!!!! so i'll take my gear just incase
