General ski stuff, jacket, salopetes, gloves, sunny's and possibly goggles. Something warm underneath, maybe another thin jumper. Wear more on the first day and see how hot / cold you get, then adjust....
Evenings, don't get dressed up you'll look totally out of place. Jeans, trousers, fleece etc are perfect. If you need to wear something half decent make sure you wear big coat over the top or you'll freeze walking from one place to another. Leave any high heals at home........ (I do) Wink

re: first time help needed

flip flops if you're going to the spa or for a swim....

zovirax if you suffer with cold sores...treating the tingle only works if you have the stuff in the middle of the night when the tingle tingles!! (I found to my cost!) Crying

paracetamol and brufen, many!

one of those groovy neck warmer things that you can lift up over your ears and mouth!

decent shoes/boots - honestly dancing in hiking boots does work!

re: first time help needed

I am always cold ask my hubby i am constantly moaning about the cold,so i was very surprised when i got there to find i wasnt affected by the cold.I wore thermal vest and longjohns and a small fleece.Obviously i wore ski coat gloves etc.But had to leave my coat open as i got very hot when skiing.Evenings were much colder my coat was firmly closed.I also took snowboots which were warm. They were a must, for me anyway. As for what to wear greg is spot on.
