Hello guys, i was thinking to go over Bansko for visit in April and to do some ski. I am intermediate so dont pretend nothing special just.... snow.... would it be snowing at in April or at least the slopes would have some real or fake one??
Unfortunately April is the only time i can get ski holidays...

Hi Enzo...Resort normally closes end of second week in April, last year was good as had fresh snow right at the end of the season, but you know snow, no guarantees

cool steve, just read the website says open to ski till may.. for example italy is open till 18/04/09 next year...
depends on eastern late this year changing all the calendar... canoon can make it go longer...

Last season the cannons ran when it was possible for them to. I will give Bansko its due, they are not mean when it comes to running the cannonsI have not heard when resort is due to close this season.
Fingers crossed for May, could have done that last season with the snow that was here....

Bansko ski season until May 2009?!?!
This news has to be placed with internet Banner accross every ski site possible so to be the envy of the ski world and I am Micky Mouse.
Val D'isere will be openned from 29thNov until 3rd May with
Val Thorens(3 Valleys) opened until 5th May Last season,
most of the resorts close around 20th April the most or first week of May if they have 3500m and glaciers.
so Bansko is in THE SKI LEADERS TABLE .Hurrray

It definately could have been extended last season, 10 days maybe which would have taken the end of the season to April 23rd, not bad for a lowly resort....Mikey, with the way global weather is i would not right off summer skiing anywhere...........
