first time skiing - need help

Hi to anyone who has a free moment to help me out.

I have the flights booked for sofia on the 17th of march & me & a friend are planning on heading straight to a ski resort.

We are thinking Bansko but can any one give me any ideas or tips as it's my first time skiing & want to do it right.
Plus people are saying the ice is melting so that cant be good!

ANY help would be great L.

It might be worth seeing where has the better conditions, I only know Bansko and the mountain is great, perhaps the town is lacking in Alpine charm, others may have opinions on where is best to learn.

Just got back from my first time skiing ion Borovets, well 2 hours anyway!!! Loved it but I was crap, have more bruises than that! It definitely paid us to have a private skiing lesson 200LEV for both me and my husband for 2 hours inc ski hirs etc. Weather was getting warmer by the time we left but the conditions seemed perfect for those who know what they were doing and more snow was expected this weekend

Hi Loz,

My mate and I went to Bansko about the same time last year, we had a major amount of snow fall on the night of arrival! It was great.

It really depends on Luck and it's going to be the same at all resorts in Bulgaria.

Only if you in Canada where conidtion is still great in May!

If you going to Bansko, Method Snow School are the best.
