my advice is not to go on race week unless you want to see the race, we are going back to bansko in 2010 as we really enjoyed the resort but the sunday was a complete waste off time because of the fis race and the perun hotel was great food also very good also great powder at the start of two days and loved the little tent bar on the piste that played james blunt (a former ski racer)
WE WILL NOT BE GOING WHEN THE RACE IS ON AS WE WANT TO SKI.

No World Cup races next season, just Europa Cup Slalom, could still cause inconvenience but nowhere near the level of last season.
