re: gala dinners opinions

So the last menu, I prepaired in septembre in Bulgaria for my friends was this.

all the time on the table we have of course
- karlovska lukanka
- green olives with almonds
- black giant olives
- honey melone with prosciuto di parma
and it was a barbecue

so we start from the grill with

barded halloumi in zucchini leaves
tomatoes stuffed with spring onions , sirena, rosmary andfien spices

turbot in foil with garlic, cherrie tomatoes, thym, and spring onions

ended with

stuffed peach halves in foil, stuffed with a cream of sirena, walnuts, honey , cummin, chilli

And a lot of salads from the wife of my friend and another friend perfect bulgarian wine, a bottle of Sensum, just the white lable, Mavrud from Mezzek and the stars over the coast of Sunny Beach

P.S.
I forget the Banitza...
I made one which is called Tikvinik, try it if you can the filling is made by pumkin, by me with oranges, cummin and cinnamon

re: gala dinners opinions

No, just one who knows her chief chef is uninteressetd in his job and goes from germany to bg.

Sorry Michelle but this is the truth.

But one question for what you need a gala diner, a christmas diner, okay. A New yaers diner great but why a gala diner, because it is "the most important diner a year"???

I like the bulgarian saguuages on the menue, but why not a great Banitza as point and a bottle of finest bg wine or champagne with some petit four or pralines

re: gala dinners opinions

hi all,

thank you for your opinions, you gave me lots to think about, as you can see opinions are really important, i am trying to be a little different to what is usually expected so the feedback has helped before finalising any decisions re the menu for my hotels gala dinner.

I am sorry it took so long for me to say thank you but i have not been at work.

Again Thanks
