I think we had lots of "gangsters in Borovets" talk last year, "some one seen too many movies", paranoid hype - and really nothing to worry about.
I sure recent events in Pamps are not common place. I've skiied there the the last 3 years, and never and seen gangsters or there activities. And if there are gansters there im sure they wont concern themselves with you or I.
After saying all that, i going Borovets this year. So if i see "Bulgarian Al Capone" I'll let you know ...

I think its all hype. I was threatened in Borovets for trying to help sort out a lost coat in a claok room. They threatened my about mafia and what they would do was pretty direct!!!!!!
But I had had a bit to much to drink and just didn't react and they backed down. And I am not the bigest bloke in the world. To be honest the manager of the place approtched me two nights later and appologised. He had been hurt in the interveening night by some roudy Brits.
