whats the difference bnetweenn a gondola and a cable car?

gondolad normally has seats for maybe 4/6 persons cable car usually much bigger standing only

A cable car is usually driven by an operator within the car. You have one or two cars per lift . Usually standing only, can carry many persons. Usually no pylons to support lift.

Gondola or bubble lift is an enclosed cabin on a lift system which can carry (depending on lift) 4-12+ persons.
Many gondolas can be added to the lift. Have a engine house top and or bottom which turns cable. Lift system supported by pylons on entire route. Chairlift similar in operation.
