re:gondola
We think the problem was with poor visibility on Markudjik today so the gondola was not running.
You can still ski the Yastrebets runs using the Yastrebets 4 man chair lift.
There is a free bus from the gondola station to the Yastrebets chair lift.
Agreed, really would not worry. There are any number of reasons why it may be temporarily 'off line' as it were. Visibility, Wind strength and specific direction and as also mentioned maintenance. There was even a case some years back when somebody stole some of the cabling and the whole resort had no power. As Gerry said, there are free buses up to the Yastrebetz expressway 4 man lift or you can take a taxi if you don't want to wait and share it with three others and it will only cost a few ...

If you can't be bothered with all that then just go up the Hotel Rila side of the resort, assuming there is snow and all the runs have cannons, you can still have some fun there. Other than for safety reason the gondola will not be out for long.

A few years ago that would have been down Yastrebets 1 and as you say you had to cross
the road and the car park to get back to the Yastrebets chair lift.
But that has all changed now and there is a path from Yastrebets 1 that drops straight to the
chair lift without having to cross the road. Much better.
But at the moment there is not enough snow to ski Yastrebets 1, Haramia, Fonfon or the Markudjik runs.
Yastrebets 2 and 3 are skiing well and although you need to use the bus to get ...

Yastrebets 2 and 3 are skiing well and although you need to use the bus to get to the chair lift you
can ski back to the bottom gondola station.
