good food

Hi guys,

I fly to Borovets on the 22nd which is my birthday. Can anyone suggest somewhere really nice for a nice meal and bottle of wine?

Thanks,

Benn

re: good food

You could try the Snow hut it is close to the Rila Hotel, it has just been taken over by an english guy and the food is very good.

re: good food

I had written a post about the snow hut but it seems to have been deleted. Don't know why as I was only speaking about my personal experience and giving an honest opinion. As I said, it has proper homemade sausages and rashers, we had a lovely meal there and the kids really enjoyed it aswell. Had a few drinks with Benny and Willy..the doorman, had a great evening overall.

re: good food

This time, it wasn't me!

We have never eaten there, so can't comment on the food, but have had drinks when Ivan had it. It is one of the restaurants that we posted about back in December that offers 10% discount to Bulgariski posters.

Benn - my suggestion would be The Deer, but it is quite expensive comparative to some of the other restaurants. It is next to Black Tiger and is a bit more 'upmarket' and more of a 'posh restaurant' than a bar feel - they also have a good wine menu.

re: good food

It's traditional and also does your basic pizzas, chips etc etc. It's got quite a nice ambience and the food is very good.

Prices are about 20% more than some of the other places, but if you want something a bit more like a restaurant / for something special it is good. How many of there are you? I can get Bobby to go in and ask if you can get a discount as a Bulgariski poster although at the moment, they don't currently offer that?

re: good food

Via here, or my email address (just click on my name) and then I will mail you phone numbers - I don't want to put them on here!

In terms of the meet, will set it up on here before you come out - it's a mega busy week that week as Snow Plough, D'boo etc will all be here, so going to be pretty manic to say the least and need to prepare in advance....! I think we'll be doing it on the Sunday 23rd but will be up for everyone to decide.
