good place for beginners?

Can anyone recommend a good (nice) resort for total beginners? I'm bringing two teenagers and we are all novices. Thanks for your thoughts and advice on this!re: good place for beginners?
You need to look at Pamporovo or Borovets. Bothe good for beginners. If you want a good hotel you need to look at 4* and above or newly refurbished or even newly built. Better still post on here to see if anyone has stayed at the hotel you are loking at.

I've been to Bansko and Pamporovo and Pamps is the one for beginners. Try the Mourgavets in Pamps 4 * and very central.Don't know about Borovets I've not beeen there yet.

hijust back from borovets. It was our first time skiing and we had no previous lessons. It was an excellent resort. The ski school in Samokov hotel was first class and the instructor we had was excellent. I would recommend going here.

Ive been both to the Borovets and Pamps.I went to the Borovets and stayed in the Rila (Jan 05) and came back from Pamps on sat where i stayed in the Orlovetz.
For beginners id say go to the Borovets. you will be taught in far smaller groups than i have just witnessed in Pamps.
Also if you stay at the Rila in the Borovets you are right on the slopes and dont have to endure going on bus to get to the slopes/lifts as you do in Pamps.

Did exactly what you are about to do last year (Feb 05).
I would recommend Borv. Its perfect for beginners if fact everyone is learning. Ski schools good . Make sure ur in the same group as your kids otherwise you wont see them all holiday ski school in Borvetts is an all day event. 10am -3pm.Hotel Rila perfect as it is right at bottom of slopes ask for a an apartment overlooking the slopes.
Dont expect the sophistication of France its a bit like going on holiday to Blackpool. Night time ...

we were at borovets last year as first time skiers and going back this year. would definately recommend the resort. stayed at budget olymp hotel last year now staying at the rila which looks much better this year. when we drove up in the coach we saw play boy signs etc. however once we were there we never came across one of these bars at all. in the centre of the resort it is all very family friendly unless you are specifically on the look out for adult entertainment. is a great ...
