hand luggage

hi am going to boro on sat have bought some ski boots will i be able to take them as hand luggage or will i have to book and pay carriage? i have weighed them and they are under 5 kilos any replies would be appreciated thanks

I take a case and my boots separate, and then hand luggage, you are best letting them go in the hold rather than having to carry them yourself.
depends on the weight of your case if you pay or not - if they are not going to charge you for letting them go through then let them go, if they are then you could take them as hand luggage

Don't think I'd want them falling on my head from an over-head locker

I think you'd be best putting them in the hold along with your suitcase.
