Hi Mark,
Yes I stayed in it a couple of years ago and it's a lovely hotel. It was brand new 2 or 3 year ago. I was there in May so I've never been to it during the skiing season but I'm sure you will enjoy it.
Regards,
Jim.

We stayed in the orlovetz in january , the hotel is supposed to be 5* most of the facilities are close to that. the rooms are massive really clean and really hot which is good even though we slept with the door open. The towels and sheets were changed every day . The restaurant was ok with a good selection for breakfast dinner had a diffrent choice everyday but could have been warmer . The big problem with this place is the staff. no personality ,no anything actually. The only hotel i have ...

The big problem with this place is the staff. no personality ,no anything actually. The only hotel i have ever entered where i made eye contact with the "head porter"who then turned around and completely blanked me.no acknowledgement . I also asked the bar man for a drink , he was reluctant to serve me turned out he was playing poker on facebook and would have been timed out . He then told me he had no change returned to his game made me wait and when he played his hand in poker he then produced the change from his pocket . The hotel has little ambience which i would blame on the staff so if you are looking for a good craic and lively atmosphere go elsewhere. Want a quiet holiday the orlovetz is nice

Stayed in the Orlovetz in January, no it isn't five star by British standards, but it is a really nice hotel. The views from the rooms are fantastic. The food is better than in a lot of hotels in Bulgaria, agree it could be warmer. The rooms are lovely, clean and large.
The staff rarely smiled and always appear disinterested. It is a nice quiet hotel, ideally placed for the bars in the centre of town so you can have the best of both worlds nightlife and peace and quiet. We ...

Hi

Stayed in the Orlovetz the last 2 years and its fab and I love the place. Staying in the perelik this year as the Orlovetz didn't have the free child places this year ..... so gonna be slumming it in comparison. The bath in particular and the fluffy robes are worth it and its so convenient to have your safe in your room which is not the case in most hotels.

Hi, Have stayed in Orlovetz 2006 and 2007.Its a lovely hotel, quite luxurious.I think deserves its * rating. We had no probs with staff,it is a biggish hotel so not as personal but we tried to talk to the staff even in our one word bulgarian! It makes a difference they really appreciate it.One waiter even recognised us a year later and could not be more helpful. They are paid little, even a small tip is much appreciated.Hope you enjoy it.

Great to hear mainly good comments about this hotel. We going out on 28th Feb also and are booked in here. Can't wait - only 3 weeks to go!!

Been interesting reading the posts on this site over last few weeks and have heard all the good and bad comments voiced but I'm going with an open mind and snow or no snow I plan to have a great time!!
