hate skiing!!!!

No not me, I was told that 1 in 100 people that have tried skiing hate it, I came across one such person today and "I cant believe it" as victor meldrew would say she realy couldnt understand what we all saw in it throwing our selves down a mountain in frezzing condition, risking our lives! I told her that was the fun part. anyone else meet someone who hates the sport?re: hate skiing!!!!

Hi went sking for the first time this xmas, went with my 7 year old son and husband. Thought that I would be really worried about my son but shouldn't have worried he was far better than me. Came back with some nasty bruises and a few scrapes. Husband thought that I was going to quit and so did I, but i was determind not to let it beat me, as i was quite worried about losing control and ploughing into someone. Ca you sound much like myself! I went for the first time in March.Everyone said to my husband that he would love it but they were not sure about me!! I dont do sport!!
Any how I managed the whole week, with no major scrapes, but dont suppose you can do much damage when your going about a mile an hour like I was!!
I dont do speed either!! LOL
We are going again next year,
but dont know where yet!

Ditto - my missus really hated the first few days of our holiday 4 years ago in Austria....AND NOW?? - her parallel is technically perfect, her courage to go faster gets better every year and even better...shes loves BG!!!re: hate skiing!!!!
Hi Sam, mostly all my closest friends here don't do skiing and they don't understand what the hell Im doing in such freeze temps..
Oh, I don't put my energie to explain this anymore, I just GO!
And all with new skifriends I've met in BG so what more can I wish for??? ..... some(?) big! snow, good company, fun...

I have never tried skiing, but know that I would hate it!I love boarding though.......even managed to buy one when I went to Pamporova earlier this year (that is despite spraining/twisting my wrist on the second day).
