Its a wind up........ hopping on your right leg with your left hand in your right pocket means Yes. touching your right knee with you right hand while tapping the top of your head left hand to the theme tune of match of the day means No. Very Happy

Yip, it's true and it can be really confusing in the beginning.

re: head nodding??

It is completely true.

Although most Bulgarians realise that they are completely opposite to us in that respect and they do understand what you mean.

They see it as quite funny when we do it, but the chances of you getting into any misunderstanding because of it is very unlikley to happen.

For Pamporova Pete

I have been going to Pamporova for the past 18 years maybe 3 times every Winter and I have never met you, I am like you in so many ways as I luv Pamporova and the Bulgarian people! Do you live in Pamps or just spend the Winter there?

Just winters Sally - and Sunny Beach in the summer.

This will be my 14th year in Pamporovo so you are ahead of me Wink

Have to say I loved the early days when it was so basic and full of charm.

Iwill be there on 23rd Dec for a week, then Bansko to try it out on 27th Jan for a week, then back in Pamporovo 4th - 11th Feb. Will you be there at all?

Be nice to meet up to talk about 'the good ole days'.

re: head nodding??

No, first week is 13 January and havent booked anything for Feb yet, but hopefully around St Patricks Day will go back. You are right I luved the good old days in Pamp when the buses broke down coming from the airport, and the smell of disel in the Snezhanka always meant you were sure to go home with infected throats. I think Pamps is being destroyed by all this new building especially OUR mountain they have ruined it. I stay in Chepalarre now, but no matter what they do I will always go ...

We sound like 2 of a kind.
We eat and drink in the same places at the same time.

Spooky Razz

Love Cheps especially the long black.
Always spend at least 1 day there every visit, then usually a meal out there with Pano, Marco, Boron and Chico.

Almost time Very Happy
