helmet hire in Pamps

after reading a few threads (we're on a learn to snowboard week) a helmet seems like an essential bit of kit,,,,,does anyone know if you can hire them and how much for 6 days ??????

just got e-mail back from Gary at snowshack re-helmet hire,,,they are 10 lev per day or over 3 days 20% discount so for a week its 48 lev........

if u r travelling with a tour operator check out their prices .i got one for 15pounds for a week with crystal ski

I recently hired helmets in Borovets through the rep and it cost us 46 lev for 6 days hire. A couple of people in our group brought helmets at cost of between 60-70 lev. If you are going to be skiing again your probably best to buy them. Aparently you can get them over here for about £20 at Lidl/Aldi. Di.

CONSIDER BUYING YOUR OWN, you never know if hire helmets have recieved a nasty blow and weakened the shell (damage is not always visible), and like wolvogirl said Lidl/Aldi sell them quite cheap and they conform to all EU safety regulations so no problems there.

We decide to buy our own last year... very reasonable prices at Decathlon or skiwear4less

Sorry forgot to add prices... Kids helmets were £12.99 each and i think we paid £26 each for mine and the wifes....much cheaper than hiring and you can be assured that a new helmet is structually intact!!!! I personnaly I would not ski/board without wearing one...


Also LIDL and ALDI very cheap and good quality
