helmets

Hi
I am off to Pamps next saturday for my first ever skiing holiday. Am borrowing ski clothes from friend and she has given me helmets. Not sure whether to take them as they will take up lots of room in suitcase! Do you think complete beginners need them (don't suppose we'll be going very fast!). Are children provided with helmets out there?
Also does hotel pamporovo have hairdryers in room?

Went skiing to Pamps for the first time for New year. We did not need helmets and did not see anyone wearing them, but at the end of the day it is added protection! Fantastic place to go for the first time and all 7 of us cant wait to go back! Beginners classes were excellent and our coach Ianko was first class so patient and caring with all of us! and I must be the worlds worst skier and have never laughed so much in one week!!!!!!!!!!

Not being rude, but if you didn't see anyone wearing helmets Cas you must have had your head in the snow

I would guess at 10% of adults and 30% of children wear helmets now, and I would strongly advise helmets for all kids. What price your childs safety?

Don't use hired ones or borrowed ones as you never know if they have been damaged or not. Buy new ones with a BS standard safety guarantee.

Your choice though - of course.

PP. Don't forget that helmets that are made to EN safety standards are also acceptable.

TK Maxx do some good deals, but if you want to save space in your outbound luggage you can also but them in resort.
