helmets

can anyone give me an idea about how much i should be paying for a decent helmet? Going snowboarding on the 4th and have been advised it would be a good investment

re: helmets

Anywhere between £20 from somewhere like decathalon to £200 from Some where like facewest for a top of the line job. I bought a RED helmet for my other half. Great helmet with good reviews for £45. I use a Hammer H1 which costs £79.
Best thing to do is a search on google for ski/snowboard helmets and just do some research.
Get to your local ski shop and try a couple on.

re: helmets

I got one from Discount skate & surf. It's great and really comfortable. I got the deluxe one for £25, although the standard one is nearly as good for £20.99 with free postage. You can find them on ebay. They claim that the hemets are the same as the quiksilver and roxy ones, just with a different pattern printed on the shell.

Ski warehouse - www.skiwear4less.com do one for £15, but I haven't tried it.

Definitely a good investment. My son put his to the test and was very glad of it.

re: helmets

£20 for a matt black one from Decathlon - saved my other-half's noggin within an hour of putting it on last year! Even better if you rigg up a sound-system from some old headphones into the ear-pieces!
