help! any snow?

We are taking our 6 year old to Pamporovo, Chepelare, 2nd Jan - never been skiing before and have heard the resort is struggling for snow?

Anyone heard anything?

I've seen satalite forcast up till 3rd Jan and its supposed to snow around 3rd.
Weather is changing every day so hopefully might get snow earlier.
I'm hoping for snow before 6th Jan for Pamps.

re: help! any snow?

the weather on here shows a bit of snow on 29th and 30th, other sites are showing the temp going up.
I don't think anyone knows really because its up and down. Looks like the high pressure is on the way out tho.

Are you over there yet James?

I was hoping that more people who are there already would report back and let us know how the runs are.

Maybe the're too busy ski-ing!
Anyway, Hope you have a good time, and get snow.

re: help! any snow?

If anyone want to know the current position of the runs I think the phrase "bloody auful" sums it up. Went up yesterday and very little is open. The blowers were going full blast but making very little difference as most of the runs were exposing stones and rocks and grass. Those that were covered was just a skim on top of sheet ice. For the beginners there are a couple of drag lifts open and the snow on these are reasonable but anything more than a few snowplow turns and you are at the ...
