oh my gosh, i'm so confused over so many good/bad reports. i've been the last 2yrs running, 1st GREAT. amazing snow. 2nd not so, due to lack of snow. so can't decide whether to go in 2weeks or not....... i'd be skiing on own this time also as parents both gained knee injuries, and i not so confident at top o mountain. don't fancy wasting the hol on icy and slushy patchy slopes. so if anyone has any advice i'd much apreciate some !!!!
thanks
Elle, look at the web cams, the slopes look in good condition, yes there are muddy patches developing daily, but it still looks good up top after 2 years you should be fine up there, join a ski school for the week and I'm sure you will have a great time, We go in 2 weeks and am looking forward to it.
Condition can, and often do change within 24 hours in Bulgaria and it's very difficult to gauge the conditions in 2 weeks time. Snow is forecast for later this week and that is from almost all of the forecast moduals.
My advice - go for it - just imagine how you'd feel if you cancelled your holiday and it chucked it down
Kevr1, I think you went to a very different Bansko to anybody else on this forum, sorry you had a very bad experience last week but are you being a little too harsh and maybe misleading?
Err Kev - I don't think so - top of gondola grass?? What are you on - lol!
Elle - I am out with just my young lad (8 yr) - may 'lose' him some of the time to an instructor so if you there - would be nice to meet up. Also several other 'nutters' from SkiDVD out there that week so it will be fun!!! Fly out on 15th from Gatwick - 4th visit to Bansko and looking forward to it - a snow dump in-between is coming as I have put my order in to the Snow Gods - lol!!
thanks kim, would be great to meet up. we thinking of flying out 15th also but not yet booked. will get back in touch if decided, most info is positive so my mind is swaying to that side more now.
