You usually meet the Balkan rep in the Rila lobby about 9-9.30 and get your ski school vouchers. You then go to the ski depot and get boots, skis and poles, again in the Rila. Go and stand at the bottom of the main slope outside (guessed it Question) the Rila. Instructors will sort you out from there.

Have you lift pass clips? On sale in kiosks outside Rila - don't need photos.

I always pack a travel alarm clock.

They're little plastic clips in various colours to co-ordinate, that clip on your jacket and you clip you lift pass to. You can then pull the pass on elastic to put in the lift slot. Great for kids as they don't lose passes or have to take gloves off to delve in pockets. Very Happy

I HATE packing so over to you Exclamation

The orphanage is near to Pamporovo. We have been raising funds and taking clothes etc out all winter from this board.

The web site is www.orphanagestoikite-bg.org - have a look when you sit down!!

Any size towels will be great - they had 5 between 74 children a couple of weeks ago. White is best as they can be boiled but any new or old would be great.

If you can squeeze some things in, let us know. It is best to hand them straight to Katherine, so nothing goes walkabout Exclamation Very Happy Very Happy

Breakfast is 7.30 - 9.30. There's all kinds - cereal, yoghourt, fruit, coissants, salads/meats, hot English (their version), pancakes, bread and rolls. If you want toast - beware the toaster takes ages Exclamation

Fill up at breakfast, we find it better than the evening meal.

lipbalm, even if its sunny your lips will dry out, also put plenty of suncream on your chin, both me a hubby burnt really bad when in bansko, sun reflects off of the snow and for some reson hits your chin.

have a great trip and let us know how you get on, never been to boro but had three great trips to bulgaria, I have said I wont go again nothing to do with anything other than lack of slopes now my skiing has improved.
