help needed

A group of 8 of us are meant to be flying out to pamps on 13th, 1 member has just returned from turkey this morning and has been hospitalised with fluid on the knee and is unable to fly for 2 months. Am guessing that the insurance company would cover her for this, was just wondering if we did a name change, would this then cancel out the insurance? Can anybody shed any light on this situation for me?
