help with ski boots

Hi Guys, not many left on her now, but hopefully you can help.
last year I posted about burning soles, and you lot certainly helped out there - I now have another problem with the boots.
ok,,, not to go into too fine a detail, I have very very high insteps - only person doc says should wear high heels most of the time!!!! well of course had the boots made to fit like a glove on the soles, but now they are hitting the top of the boot and causing the bone on the top (in line with the instep) ...

A very frustrated passionate skier - I will never get perfect fitting boots, but I am trying my best Very Happy
other than that a few brandies normally take the pain away Wink

Hi gill
thats quiet a difficult one, have you asked the place where you got the boots from? they should have allowed for that realy, I supose the problem is you dont realy get a true idea of the fit until you ski in them! sorry cant help anymore. other option buy plenty of brandy Razz

re: help with ski boots

I got so much help with the burning soles, you should find the link on here if you search under burning soles.
I did get a new pair of boots from Snow and Rock, and new foot beds, but I still have the problem just not as bad, I read that if you soak your feet for ten minutes a day in cold water this helps -not tried it yet - will wait for the summer for that one Very Happy other thing is not to wear thick socks, learnt that normal socks or even pop socks are good - if the boots are a good fit ...

re: help with ski boots

thanks Garry, tried everything - i dont mind so much now the pain, its when I get to pension age and cannot walk because I put the old feet through so much pain ealier on - went to snow and rock saturday and they are going to look at expanding the boot on the top first - then maybe trying to shave some off - not sure what the chiropodist is going to make of the feet when I go next week Confused
