just a quick word of praise to our holiday insurance company, whilst in boro for the last week 19th til the 25,my wife was unlucky enough to pull the ligaments in her right knee and fracture her knee, the doctor at the samakov was brilliant.I was in shock when he said it had to go in plaster,a full leg cast .she hoped for a bandage and a second go up the gondola!not realising that she would need three seats on our fully booked plane ,when i contacted the insurance company post office they were excellent from changing the flights to getting transfers to and from the airport both sides,it couldnt have gone smoother .There was a poor couple at sofia in a similar predicament ,only they had to pay for there own tickets to get home .so well done the post office insurance not bad for £109.00
Well done Post Office. We were there last week and we met a couple who had hurt her leg and they were on the phone all week trying to make alternative arrangements for their flight etc. Its pot luck with insurance companies regarding how much help you will get when you need it but I will certainly consider the Post Office.
Hope your wife fells better soon. There seems to be lots of injuries at this time me included. We came home on 19th March and the slope I fell on was very icey, lucky not to of broken my leg but a lot of tissue damage and the start of physio on Monday! But it does pay to have a good insurance company and I will look at the post office option next year. Not put off though, Borovets is still brill, and we will be back next year, maybe a little earlier. Jeanette.
hi gary i also had a broken elbow whilst there and the doctor in the samakov was fantastic. i got my insurance free with the holiday it was axa insurance i i could not fault them either i guess we were lucky.
I think it was the post office that had all the adverse press earlier in the year when a young lass got hurt herself abroad and they wouldn't get her back home as she was intoxicated when she was injured.
Glad your wife hadn't been tempted by too many chocco brandies!! Seriously though glad to hear you got home safely and hope she is better soon and not put off skiing!
