It was not on a slope but @ MK snowdome last week.
I cought the toe side of my snowboard on a lump of ice as i was turning and it threw me over the front head first, i landed on my side with my elbow in my chest. I very badly winded myself and tought i'd just brused my side/chest so i carried on with the hours boarding. i got home in a lot of pain but though it would pass. A week later it turns out i hav 2 cracked ribs!!!
oooh sounds painful, well i havent had anything bad happen to me...yet (touch wood). I always have these visions of me up the mountain and breaking a leg or something but it still isnt going to stop me
ohg Jude, when I was still in my first learning years (age 14?) I once wasn't quick enough to stand up from the seats and before it had turned I jumped off ...4 meters lower. still nothing broken
The other thing was we went skiing into deep snow through the woods and yep, another fall deep down and landed right next the river.
I seem to have something with ravins
Last year I went through what sempt like a whole forrest of deep snow, eventually came out the other end after ducking and diving, with half the forrest in my mouth ears and hair - my group aptly named the run "Gills Passage" - lots of fun and luckily not hurt.
I got one in Pamps last season, a woman had not put her braces on, leaving them dangling on the single chair lift. At the top she skied off but her braces were caught on the safety bar. Luckily she managed to break the braces. Otherwise the new sport of bungee skiing would have been invented.
The there was a lad on the main lift he did not put the bar down ten yards out of the station out he poppped straight down luckily no apparent injuries.
And then on the first rainy day at christmas ...

And then on the first rainy day at christmas one of our group stayed at ski slope whilst we went to get dry and had to help a woman whose husband had badly sliced his lower leg open with his ski. Are these what you want.
I once lost grip of my snowboard on a slope and watched helpless as it disappeared down the mountain on its own. I was left with no choice but to slide the rest of the way on my bottom - most amusing to watch I'm sure.
OOOh I forgot this one, How could I have forgotten this one. The people travelling home to Ireland encountered problems with computer failure at the check in at Plodiv. This lead to a delay and the aircraft landed deposited its passengers and then left. Leaving all the return passengers behind. They barricaded the departure lounge until they got some answers.
I had a nasty broken leg when our instructor took us to malyvista in deep snow and my binding didn't release 5 days in a bulgarian hospital , not very nice
