you can take a look at this site www.sokolets-borovets.com.it's in English and there is some notes about edelweis situated in borovets because there is another one with the same name in bansko.
I've passed the edelweiss when dropping off guests on the way into Borovets, and it is a long way out - it's in the woods at the very bottom of the hill, and you wouldn't want to walk into town from there. It looks absolutely beautiful though, in a very picturesque setting, and I think you'll find horse-drawn carts sitting outside ready to take you up the hill - 10lev (£4) is a small price to pay, and it's such a lovely ride...
Hi, We're also staying in the Edelweiss on the 21st. Do a search on this board for 'edelweiss', there are a few reviews here. Seems ok on balance, food is ok, rooms are ok (refurbished a few years back).
hi im staying at edelweiss on 21st too, ill check out that web site thanks, cant wait, i ll pack some carrots for the horse, as it will be seeing me every night for my lift. DO you know if a bus runs from the hotel in the morning up to the gonodalas and are they quite regulary=.
Hi Jan, dont think there is a bus layed on but if you arrange a price with the taxi man before setting off(if not it will be 15lev lol) you wont go far wrong. If there aren't any there it wont be a long wait ie there is one on the way. C U on Monday if not before
One other thing, we stayed in Bor last year sister hotel to adelweiss. No one told us that we werent allowed skis in the hotel (after the first night of course) we checked ours into the Rila ski depot (under the Rila) for a nominal fee. This was after the manageress of the Bor had a right go at us for bringing our skis and boots in. I think there is a chrystal ball in every room c u soon
