hello has anyone been to stay in hotel ela in the borovets resort, whats it like? thinking of going in march is the snow still good then. also can anyone give me an idea of what i'm letting myself in for - beginner!!

We're giong back to Borovets on the 4th Mar for the second time and staying in the Ela (stayed in Olympic last time). The reports I'm getting are is that the Ela is OK and about average for the resort. i.e clean and basic but with plenty of hot water etc. If you haven't been to eastern europe b4 then all I can say is that their 5* is about our 3* but if it's luxury your after then pay twice the money and go to the Alps. As far as snow is concerned it looks like on average the best ...

Go ahead and book, you'll have a great time.

Stayed at the Ela 2 years ago. Very warm,comfotable and a large bedroom- don't know if they were all like that. If you want hot food though, make sure you get down as soon as the dining room opens. The bar was very good they have the usual happy hour. Never been in March so I don't know what the snow is like then. Borovets is a great resort and you should enjoy it. Malre: hotel ela, borovets
