hi all...ive just booked a group into the hotel ela in borovets for march...ive stayed in a few hotels in the resort but never the ela...anyone stayed there before?? if so whats it like?? i only ask because a couple in the group are a bit fussy and need some reasssurance that its not a flea pit...
we stayed ther in 05. Place was comfortable enough and close enough to the slopes. Food for me wasnt the best as i couldnt eat for a few days but dont know what the reason for that was. we were in a room for 3 so basic room with 3 beds which did us. Friendly place to stay really and no complaints other than the food.......was just a bit on the cool side though microwves were on hand, although im not a lover of the half board holidays but whilst skiing its probably essential.
cheers stu...comfortable will do for me.. as for the food, well i think thats just the bulgarian way.. but ill eat anything anyway...if i remember rightly, the hotel is just up the road from the gondala isnt it?? can you remember if theres any facilities other than the bar...a couple of teenagers are in the group so a pool table or games room would be a bonus..
Hey there,
We stayed in the Ela last year, like the others say, it's in a good position near to gondola and restaurants, only complaint about the place was the freeeezzzing cold rooms! My advice would be to pack lots of warm clothes, socks, and a hat - thats just to sleep in!!! Otherwise its a decent wee place to rest yer weary head!
Have fun
think you may find it a bit differant this year, as of sunday the hotel is still not finished its been having a big refurn this year, all the windows and patio doors gone, now replaced with upvc dglazing, cant comment on the rest of the inside as its not open yet. I think you may have landed a good bargain!!!!!!!!!!!!!
