ah... totnes, im from down west about 40 miles from lands end. near truro. sorry i meant i went dryslope skiin last week, place near me called radnor... not very good. i was also in plymouth last week lol

Maffs- you're dead right I obviously didn;t read that post right first time around. Didn't realise there was a Lion in Borvets too, oops 
You a skier or rider by the way?
Samantha - yup we're staying in that Lion (in Bansko!), first time there, second time in Bulgaria but about the fifteenth trip I've done in total. Our group varies from complete newcomers upwards though. We'll be the ones with the Board 4 Life stickers

Im a second time skier lol went austria a few years ago but think im gonna start to learn snowboard instead from the start. takin the missus aswell whos never set foot on snow so it should be um..... interesting what about you?re: hotel lion bansko 3rd feb!!!!!

First went boarding in 98 and now go a couple of times every year. Like I say our groups a mixed bunch we have one complete newbie, a couple of people who have only done a week before and one or two token skier as well. Feel free to say hi if you spot us about

stupid me yeah ill say hi, theres only two of us so be good to talk to someone else!gill - im flying with balkan holidays so im not sure what they are like? do you rate the lion?

Balkan are my favorite, but probably not many other peoples favorite - remember to get a sachet of mayo or something and a bag of chrisps at the airport to help your sandwich on the plane go down better..
The Lion is lovely, I was very impressed with it, the maids did a great job every day, on the first day pay 5 lev for a dressing gown on reception, it took me till the third day to find out where everyone was getting the towelling dressing gowns from.
The beauty room was not so good, ...

what are the balkan planes like, ive heard mixed reviews like they are tiny prehistoric planes that rattle and shake

we ate out once had loads to eat and too much to drink between 5 of us it came to £60, that included at least 3 rakia each (the guys had 5 x rakia), baileys, vodka, 2 x bottles of decent wine.the massages are between 50 and say 70 lev for a full body that lasts over an hour...
if you can find anything to buy it is cheap, the silver is very cheap.
I bought some leather knee length boots in plovdiv for £40, really nice leather not cheap stuff..
