hotel lion bansko

Hi,

I'm traveling to bansko next year and was wandering if anyone has stayed at the Lion hotel or knows how far it is from the lifts? i have read mixed things about it, some say it's 100m some 450m or even 750m??

if anyone knows the real distance could you please let me know!

It's a 10 minute walk to the Gondola.

They have a shuttle bus aswell which continuously runs back and forth between hotel/gondola.

it's 10 min on the bus, just as well as it's up the steepest hill ever.
the rooms are nice and clean, foods a bit poor but you can eat out cheap. if you have kids you might want to check if they have finished off the dancing bar, they had halted building due to the concerns of the 2 holter near it

Out of the three I'd say 450m was nearest but even that may be short. It's was to far to attemp to walk it in ski boots & carrying skis so always used bus, but better to walk in snowbaord boots. Brochure estimate of 3 mins walk to gondola total ****, even in bus it takes 5 but also requires hanging around for bus for 5-15 mins.

Deffo not 10 mins on bus! Maybe a 15minute walk then...

Mesured on map and distrance from Lion to Gondola is a little under 600m on the road. Est about 400 as crow flys

Do not confuse the HOTEL lion and the LION BAR !!!

Hotel Lion is great with regular suttles to the Gondola. You would not want to walk it.
