I did, for several years (I did come home in between).
Its basic, but comfortable and relaxed and always clean and warm. The staff are great - really nice, so make the effort to ask and get to know their names and you will be like family. There are TV's in the rooms and good hot showers. Restaurant is Ok, food is as per other hotels. Any other questions shout!
Oh, blimey don't worry about that, going on your own is a perfect way to make friends, people are even less reticent about talking to a single than they "interjecting" into a couple or another group - I've been on away on my own a couple of times and had a ball (not tried it when skiing though - yet). Just don't be backward at coming forward I suppose!

The hotel staff will keep you up all night and there will be plenty of groups and friendly couples (as on this list) to join in with. There were other people in the orpheus who arrived on their own on the times I've stayed there, feverything rom 19 year old Kiwi girl to the 74 year old Ernie (where are you Ernie?) - but there will be loads of people to join in with for dinner and evening ents. We always found other couples and singles tagged along with us for fun, they were welcome and its always interesting to meet someone outside your own group.
I'll be at the hotel Pamp from the 17th with my little group of mixed ages and sexes, if you're around drop in.......
