Has anyone stayed at the pamporovo hotel, is it nice, when/ where do we get our ski stuff and do we take our own boots to the slopes or do we go in ski boots. I have booked a beginners course for the end of jan and as yet i have no idea how things are sorted out. we booked with crystal if that is any help.also can anyone tell me if i need to take travellers cheques or cash and wether they should be sterling or lev.

Try and do some ski lessons in the UK before you go it will improve your holiday no end...
Take sterling cash with you, but make sure that the notes are clean i.e. not torn, damaged, written on or faded. They won't exchange it otherwise.
Travellers cheques are a no no as they charge huge commissions, Also get your self a safe deposit box in your hotel, if your bringing cash its only few quid and you will have absolute peace of mind
But above all enjoy it its the best holiday you'll ...

Hotel Pamporovo is a newer Hotel Just out of resort a bit.All your ski equipment /passes will be sorted out on the first morning, your Rep will let you know. As for the boot question take on old pair of rubber soled boots to walk to the bus in and you can leave them in the depot when you get your ski boots.re: hotel pamps first time skiier
the only down side I can see is you are last to be picked up on the ski bus.
