Usually go to Pamporovo but have decided to have a change this year.Thinking about booking this hotel, has anyone stayed here?, would welcome reviews, thanks.re: hotel strazhite bansko
It's supposed to be a fantastic hotel, close to the lifts too. Never stayed but therer were some in our group who said it was amazing, food wasn't too bad either

Very nice Hotel in resort centre. Friends have stayed and said food was good and rooms nice. I have been in a few times and it does look the part.re: hotel strazhite bansko

I stayed there last year ... we were upgraded to this hotel because going so late in the season our hotel was closed due to low occupancy..
All very nice .... very central for the restaurants and shops .. we had a room at the front of the hotel right in front of the Lion Bar which raised some concern because it is open 24 hours and is quite a popular sports bar ... but didn't cause any problems with any noise ... but maybe that was because it was late in the season and rather quiet ...

The hotel has a free courtesy bus to the gondola ... but it's not that far to walk
Only had breakfast there which was plentiful ... overall the hotel is very comfortable .... a well established place.
Personally I prefer to stay in an apartment ... just nice to have that extra bit of room

stayed there twice and going back in Feb. hotel is very comfortable. walking distance to gondola. great position for exploring village too. Food is always good and plentiful, typical Bulgarian fare...... lots of meat. we normally eat there and eat out too. big log fire in reception area, really nice. there are posher hotels in Bansko but Strazhite is great value for money and really family friendly. Stayed at this hotel 4 times now- really like it.Its family friendly, walking distance to gondola station and handy for mehanas (eating places) and town.
reasonably good standard of accomodation as well.
I have stayed at two others but tend to like to return to this one- booked to go here with my 1 year old in January! wish us luck!
