re: hotel zodick

I have stayed there we went in Feb 2005 the only downside to this hotel is in my opinion is the location. To go skiing you can use the free bus which when I was there was very prompt (however it did break down one day and on another occasion the door opened and someone nearly fell out) or hire a taxi, if you wish to go into town at night you will need to get a taxi at 10levs. The food was typically what you would get in most bulgarian hotels sometimes dishes were strange but not unpleasant ...

The rooms I found were very good we had a family room with balcony and I have no complaints about it at all, infact I belive it had been refurbished recently the bathroom most definitely had been. I stayed in the Iglika about 6 weeks befor and although the location was better and perhaps the bar area was more comfortable and cheaper it was on a par. Hope this helps

We stayed in the Iglika last Feb and to be totally honest, i found it to be one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in on a skiing holiday!! Bar none!

The atmosphere, staff, bar prices, food(especially breakfast), facilities and decor were fantastic and i would recommend it to anyone. (One minor downside is that you would need a wetsuit to be able to stay in the swimming pool for very long!!)

Watch out for the beer though - very tasty but some of it is 12% alcohol so 3 large beers = ...
