off to bansko on sat, how mcuh cash do you think i will need for the week, were in self catering accomodation and will be there for the week.
not looking to buy anything exept food and beer, i ahev heard its dead cheap, were stayin opposite the happy end pub so pretty well located from what ive read
£200 spends and £300 for ski equipment which I bought.
It is 80p a pint and £5 for a meal.
If I was on a budget I reckon I could have lived comfortably on £100 for the week. A good part of my spend was on 2 massages and a generous tip for my ski instructor George who was excellent.
If you can buy Saloman ski's, bindings, poles, boots and a bag and live for a week for £500 in the alps you really are doing well!!!
Don't eat there, we had an average meal and saw a mouse in the place.
It's weard really because when you first see it it looks like a top place but for some reason it is never busy enough to generate a great atmosphere.
Head down Pirin Street - starts opposite the Strazhite hotel to the right of the Lion (which is in itself a good boozer). Amigo's it good (on the right), the Golden fox does great pizza's. Amnesia is a good club towards the bottom (don't be fooled it looks closed but ...

The best place to eat by far though was off Pirin Street to the left next to the Diel sports shop. Can't recall the name of the place but it had red fairy lights round the door and looks a pokey little hole from the front but is really impressive inside.
I echo Chris's post above. I spent £150 and that was eating a good lunch out each day, buying hats, gloves, bum board, lots of photos off the slopes cameraman, plenty of beer etc etc.
Are you staying in the Kempinski I wonder (you say you are opposite the Happy End).
You will have blast and it's the most excellent snow there at the moment - enjoy.
we were there last week only spent about £200 on food and beer for two of us, was self catering, I agree with chris the golden fox does a fantastic pizza and also a good english breakfast, the beer and food is realy cheap most nights only spending about £15 between us on meals and wine. most expensive meal was £25 that was three courses with a salad and garlic bread and a bottle of wine.
