this will be our 4th year to Bulgaria skiing and its always a mistery ''how much do you tip the instructor?''.
We always tip and have never had a bad instructor. Angel at Pamps, Stan at Boro with Borosports and Angel at Boro last year with Albana ski under the Flora - He was fab...
There is 7 of us in the party so normally get an instructor for just us, as we are mixed abilities and want to stay together..
i just want to get a measure of how much you tip to find out if we are cheap skates ...

we are also wondering how much they get paid per week as we may contact or instructor from last year. he's not instructing this year but he may consider a week off from his job in Sofia if we tempt him with some cash. We are going independant so everything is booked seperately.

I don't use instructors any more, but always used to tip £10-20I'm sure some here will say that's too much, but it's not a lot for me, and makes a big difference for them.

Excellent question, the last two years in Boro we have had two excellent instructors and one that was b****y useless. The good instructors we used as much as we could including private lessons at lunchtime and at the end of the day when everyone had gone home. At the end of the week i would make sure the good ones had 100 lev (as was posted earlier some will say this is too much and we are daft, but as said, its not really that much to us but an awful lot to them).
