Charlie - we were there last week and although snow at top was good, believe me there was absolutely nothing at the bottom - in fact hardly anything below mid-station.

What nursery slopes!!!! They were completely brown. Every morning, the water outside the ski depot froze solid which meant that the track down to the lift was sheet ice. The beginners (along with everyone else) were having to negotiate this as best they could, then they were taken up to the top to use the slope in front of the back blue run (the one with the button lift). Plenty of good skiing up there - bit icy first thing though.

At the end of the day, most people came down on the lift, althoguh some brave souls did take off their skis and walk down the greens!

LizziSnow just a little less fear and you would have skied all the way down.

Was in Pamporovo last week. The lower slopes just needed ploughed and then the potatoes sown. Skiing the lower slopes was non-existent. Muck, slush and Ice. The upper slopes were ok, very icey until about 11.00am and soft and slushy over lunch. Left on Saturday and there was snow forecast but it didn't arrive.

I did try it once ... then decided it wasn't worth the bruises... Seriously though, I don't mean to sound negative - we had a great time and the blues and reds at the top were fantastic. Only downside was not being able to ski all the way down and having to queue at mid station. Still booked again for next year though!
