Where exactly is the iglika, I stayed in the rila. Where did you have to go for your skis etc and where did you keep leave them at night. Everthing was in the rila so it was quite handy but was thinking of the iglika or ela for next year!!

I stayed in the Iglika and thought it was very good to. Deb if you have your own skis etc I belive they have a locker room. I hired just skis so I left them and my boots at one of the ski hire shops down by the gondala.

Where did you go on the first morning to get your hire skis etc. I will be hiring. When we stayed in the rila they had a hire room you went to on the first morning.
What is near the iglika, I can remember seeing it but cant place it?? What pubs were close and how far to the gondola?

re: igleka

It is just behind the rila it really is a nice hotel. The gondola is the same distance as is everything else its next door to the police station and the beer is very cheap

Hiya,

We stayed in the Iglika Palace hotel in January this year. It is just out the back door of the Rila and so close to everything but quieter than the Rila. it is a more "cosy" kind of place. There is a ski depot at the back of the hotel, they store boots and skis there for 2 lev a night and we used this and the waxing service which is brilliant there. we also hired snowboards as a learn to board package and these were from in front of the rila, the Rila 1 depot. Can't fault the hotel ...
Hiya,

Can't fault the hotel at all, plenty of choice of foods, friendly staff, clean and warm, a little too warm perhaps, needed to turn down the heaters in the room! Oh there is a doorman there who shouts at you in Bulgarian and says "SKI DEPOT LEFT" if you try to take your skis in the front door or try to take ski boots off in the lobby!! There is also a really cute dog in the ski depot who liked wearing my sunglasses!! hehe!!

Hope this is helpful, we will be back there next year!

Pie xx Very Happy
