Have skiied in Pamps twice, had a ball each time, really nice people and the instruction is top class. Most countries you get 2/4 hrs instruction, in Pamps we got approx six ! Scenery _ tree lines runs etc excellent. When we were there we had good (not great snow) , but certainly good enuf to ski on. Lift systems good, but skiing a little limited. Prices for food, drink etc v reasonable, however I understand, not quiet as reasonable now.

This year the snow situation is less than ideal, but this is the case accross Europe. For those heading out soon, lets hope it changes. This forum is excellent for getting a feel for the real conditions over there. This year we're going to France and we are relying on web cams/snow reports from Tourist Office - not ideal.
From reading recent posts on this forum, it appears lift queues are a bit of a problem this year, perhaps our resident pamps guru PP could confirm on return !
I'm not actually in Bulgaria at the moment so I too am relying on contacts in the resorts to relay information to me.
The lift problems is two-fold.
Firstly the closure of some runs has restricted available areas to ski and therefore the lifts that give acess to the open runs are much more in demand. Early morning in Borovets seems to be the worst at the moment.
Secondly, with all the new hotels in all resorts there are just too many people trying to ...
