in Pamps now

We're in Pamps now - arrived Saturday. No probs at all lending and got to resort ahead of time. Staying at Snezhanka, which is lovely, food good, rooms clean, staff friendly.
We've travelled with Thomson this time, and their organisation of your first day seems a lot smoother than Balkan. Their boot room is very calm and well organised and the staff are keen for you to be happy with your equipment. The instructor we have is Nick, and he's brilliant.

Snow conditions are PERFECT. There's plenty of snow on all runs and it's snowing continually on and off all day and night, so it's constantly being topped up with fresh powder. Our instructor says a big dump due Wednesday night. The skiing is absolutely brilliant.
The cost of things has gone up a little bit since last year. We've paid around 9 lev in resort for a white wine and a large beer, compared to 6 last year. On the slopes, lunch is a little dearer too. Soup is 5 lev, garlic bread is 3 lev. Coffee and tea are 3 lev each (that's without milk). A hot choc is 6 lev.
So far, this has been our best ski holiday ever. After all the worry about snow and costs, it's been great to find things are so good.

Glad your enjoying it and the snow is good. Is your ski instructor in his 50's with grey hair and a bulgarian accent Smile Smile if so can you say hello from "narboraa, not sure how it's spelt but pronounced like nar bo ray. Please tell him Keith said hello and we enjoyed the red wine and brandy at Christmas. If it is the same Nick, he is a brilliant instructor and a really nice bloke.
