Its going to be my first time snowboarding in Borovets and I'm comming out with 4 other lads. Having trouble finding any info on Hotel Royal other than whats on their web site. Any one been there and can give us a taster. Never been to Bulgaria before if the snow's not great can you fill 7 days getting blasted!re: info on Hotel Royal

you made the best choice of all. This is in my eyes the best hotel in Borovez right now, all the rooms have a panorama view over the Rila massiv there you ski. Every other hotel shows you only the runs out of the door. The Royal is a nice smaller luxery hotel with only three stairs and 24 rooms, but nearby every luxur you wish. Own problem is the distance to the centre it will be 3 k you can check some pics at bgtours.de.
Try out the Gorski Tzar restaurant near by the hotel ...

Try out the Gorski Tzar restaurant near by the hotel basic warm and traditinal bulgarian cusine a litre draft wine is 4 lev and soem good hot rakia you get there too.

Thanks for that Sune! Now taht I know its a ways out of the town centre how easy is it to get a taxi back if you've had a late night out in Borovets town centre. The hotel website also mentions that the have a shuttle to the ski slopes regularly during the day what is the earliest that this service starts and when does it end?re: info on Hotel Royal
Sorry Crazy can't help you with the times of the skibus, but is no problem to get a taxi, I'm sure the reception will call one for you and find everytime one in Borovez centre, even nice is a trip in a horsesleigh.Sune
P.S. Snobrdboy, I do not work there, but I'm really worried about this, to wake up with this panorama is unbelievable...
