insurance ..were off to bansko

sooo...we have booked a deal in a bit of a rush..jan8th on balkan hols for the eagles nest (reviews look good) ...after doing a bit of research it seems the snow may not be great....anyone know of no snow or lift closure on ski/board insurance...and what you have to do to be able to claim on the policy??

and wheres the cheep beer??

If there is just one single piste then you cannot claim, or if another resort is available, even if its 3 hours away...
Don't worry anyway, 8th Jan is still a way off... and cheap beer, everywhere... Eagles Nest is opposite the old `Irish Bar', unfortunately re-opened this season as a restaurant... Eagles Nest is nice anyway, 15 min from the gondola, passing a few places on the way, can recommend the `Friendly bar'...

WALK DOWN HILL, TAKE THE FIRST RIGHT AND THE BAR/CAFE AT THE END OF THE ROAD (50 METRES) DOES GOOD INEXPENSIVE BEER AND FOOD

Much appreciated ..... Seen vids on youtube looks good....where do you get on the off piste that looks mint??? Does this bar have a name ...... Anyone stayed at the eagles nest were half board just wondering what the munch is like??

Eagles Nest is nice, a modern more traditional place, and based in the back streets, but relatively close to all things... dunno about the food, but i would assume its ok..
Off-piste ?? we have access to 75,000 hectares, where do you want to start ? Some good stuff to start you in resort, Todorka bowl and the Champayne bowl come to mind, and great tree skiing along the edges of blue 10 and red 4...
