Going to borovets again next year was wondering if there is ever no snow about so you just cannot ski during the ski season... we went in march earlier this year and the conditons where perfect but did notice that in feb they where poor.
im now thinking of going end of jan as cant wait till march...
i read this forum regularly and notice most people say go march so feel im taking a risk in jan, would it be possible to get there and not be able to ski? even with the snow ...

Its in the hands of the Gods proverbally mate!We are going early January next year, have been in January, Feb and March in the past and have allways skied- sometimes excellent conditions- sometimes only good up top, but ive never known no ski-ing being available- should be better now with additional snowmaking available.
By the way- its the same all over Europe- not just Bulgaria!

Last year early Jan Borovets was very poor with snow and on certain days there was no skiing especially at the beginning of jan.
As Ian said in the hands of the gods.
We have been told a very cold winter this year so hopefully everywhere will have great snow.
Late Jan is a best bet rather than earlier but if you can wait till last minute then you will be able to get reports and see the cams to see what snow is available.
By the way on webcams....... The webcam outside Chalet iskar ...

thanks, think booking 18th jan for a week and will try go late march too last minute... if anyone has any nice apartments by the gondola for 5 or 6 people let me know... have a seen a couple in the flora which look ok.stayed in the chalets at the bottom of the hill this year but they where very basic so looking for something a bit better..

We have stayed at the Flora before in an appartment and found it very nice, and near the Gondola too
