Only the snow god can answer with any honesty......... But, if ya go to the Borovets web-cam, and look back to last March, you can see the conditions then. Thats probably ya best guide!!
PatMan
p.s. will be there from Sat, in case I havent mentioned it yet
We go on 5th March too, thought we were taking a gamble going in late season, but the hostorical snow reports state that Borovets has decent snow up until April, so we 'should' be ok: but as PatMan says - it's not guranteed!
Psstt: They have snow cannons on certain slopes though, so that should help should the Snow God be mean to us!
Cheers Bonzo, i didn't know that!
Well hopefully it'll snow loads so they won't be needed, otherwise i'll have to hold a fridge over the cannons to make them work P xx
I went in March 3 or 4 years ago. On top of the mountain in the morning it was solid ice in the afternoon it was a lake. They ended up busing us to other local type resorts which had snow. We were sun bathing on the balcony of the hotel, no snow at all in borovets. I think it a little later than your going. But im told that march can be a great time to go. You will enjoy no matter what.
I have being going to borovets in march every year for the last 15 years. only missed one year because of no snow. every other year have been lucky, some years great snow, other years less good, but allways managed to ski enough{and drink enough} to be happy to come home for a rest!!!
