its to late for bansko

thank god i booked with inghams who kindly let me change from bansko to italy, passo tonale, only 2 weeks to go and italy has 370 cm at top and 120 cm bottom, hope you have good snow but i would not hold my breath, my opinion book alps and play it safe at this time of year, i will not (almost) get caught out again Very Happy

Why panic? Three years ago courchevel had no snow until a day or two be fore we went. That was the week up to Xmas. Each year is different

Of course they were happy to change your booking. More money for them. 2 weeks? By that time bansko will have plenty of snow so more fool you. I am booked to go to bansko late jan and could easily change the booking. Not going to though cause i like the place just like anyone worth listening to who'd post on this site. If i was going to any other country I wouldn't be on this forum the main reasons being that for 1 i've got a life and for 2 i'm not bitter or twisted. Get that life and stay ...

Wolfy I hope PT is good for you. Hope the weather does not suddenly warm up, the snow stop and it falls hard with the good white stuff in Bansko..... (which it will) Razz

Very smart to go to where there is snow if you want to ski. If I was hoping to go on vacation in 2 weeks, I would do the same. Better than to pray it snows here.

Agree Mat but not all folk can book last minute where the snow 'is'. Some have to book in advance and perhaps just hope for the best and negative 'rubbing your nose in it' comments from a certain few really don't help!!

Right on Damo! Been there past five years and not been disappointed in late Jan to early Feb. People will want to ski in June next!
