Hi, Im flying out on saturday, there's 4 of us 2 beginners and two 'intermediates' do you know if we'll be on the lower slopes or at the top if we go with the ski school? where do they normally take you? also honestly whats the snow condition like out there at the moment and are the ques for the lifts really an hour long?
on the 3rd there was a massive dumping of snow near 2 foot and i think they take you on the mountain but only on the green and blues for beginners and intermediates and the ques were only a hour long on the day when there was only one ski lift open because of wind.
i didnt go with a ski school whilst i was there but from what i saw the beginners are at the bottom of the mountain, i assume that the intermediates will go further up and guessing that by the time u get going you will be at the top but not certain on that. whilst i was there it snowed tues/wed and was really dood but dont think it has snowed since. the conditions on the mountain were getting icy and patchy again as the week went on. if you que up for the gondolo between 8 and half past u ...

That makes sense if only one was working because thats like thousands of ppl trying to get up onto the slopes at the same time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldnt have liked to be there !!!
if the chair lifts are shut itis busy but when everything is open it spreads itself out! we hardly had to que up for the chair lifts but they dont go all the way to the top.
It was my first time skiing 2006 with The Samokov Ski School, on 1st Day we beginners stayed on lower nursery slopes all Day, 2nd Day those who got up to go went up the Gondola to the top of the Yastrebetz, which has drag lift and a funny sort of conveyor belt to get back to the Gondola lift when you go home, it is pretty scary especially when it stops suddenly!, yes it's ok for intermediates up there, plenty of facilities and fantastic views, you can Ski down to the Middle ...
Hi Rob,
It was my first time skiing 2006 with The Samokov Ski School, on 1st Day we beginners stayed on lower nursery slopes all Day, 2nd Day those who got up to go went up the Gondola to the top of the Yastrebetz, which has drag lift and a funny sort of conveyor belt to get back to the Gondola lift when you go home, it is pretty scary especially when it stops suddenly!, yes it's ok for intermediates up there, plenty of facilities and fantastic views, you can Ski down to the Middle Station and get the Gondola back up!, if your more advanced and brave, there are other slopes up there, but One Drag Lift is not Suitable for Children as my Nephew and another Boy fell off it and there Skis went flying down the slope. ok.
